Devils Marbles (Karlu karlu) are situated near Tennant Creek, Northern Territory.
They’re a remarkable collection of huge granite boulders, precariously balanced on top of each other. They hold spiritually significant to the traditional Aboriginal owners, believing they are the fossilised eggs of the Rainbow Serpent.
I was there during bush fires, which created a moody haze around to the area, as the sun went down the sun broke through and casted a warm glow over the Marbles.
